Are You Planning to Succeed?
Over the past few months I’ve been spending time with hundreds of small business owners. One thing that really struck me is the large percentage who don’t have a Business Plan.
Now I must confess … I’m a bit of a planning nerd. I love planning, especially if I can do it with one or two mastermind buddies. But regardless of if you love it, hate it, or simply don’t feel you have time for it … I’m here to tell you that you need it.
Operating a business without a plan is akin to playing a game of football without goal posts … you simply can’t win. It’s hard to know where to start and finish, what actions to take along the way, and when to celebrate success. If you are planning to succeed in business, you need a plan … full stop.
If you don’t currently have a Business Plan, that’s OK because I’m fairly confident you would have most of the ingredients ready to insert into a planning framework. Knowing where to start and what to include can be one of the major barriers to having a plan. The other perceived hurdles are time – “it will take weeks”, and money – “I don’t have the money to pay someone to write a business plan for me”.
I smash these perceptions in this week’s video, and also show you exactly what to include in your plan.
